Home Alone

Duffey was off catching little ones and big ones for a week!

He left me home alone and he did not recognize the place when he returned because I did a bunch of redecorating! I'm not quite done yet but I am beginning to think it looks great for a change!

A boy and his toy!

He had to rent a roller to roll the lumps out of the yard he said. I think he might have just wanted to drive the roller around!

Birthday Party

My Aunt Reba was 93 today!! Celebrate !!!!!!!

Paint Night

For a Mother's Day treat Natalie took me to Paint Night! Fun!!

Vintage 501

Another delicious restaurant in the downtown area visited with Natalie. We also stopped at The Runners Edge for her to get new running shoes. She got two pairs but I could not find any that were comfortable.
Vintage 501 has delicious French Fries and a Devine veggie stacked sandwich.

Taco Betty's

Hanging out with our daughter, Natalie, means I try all the new local eateries. Taco Betty's is downtown and I do not go there very often, but this restaurant was well worth the trip!

Crisp avocado is delicious! Crispy fish was Devine and this chicken thing was also amazing!!

Mary Beth and I had  delicious Surf and Turf Sliders at Fresco in Anderson Gardens. What a beautiful window view of all the blooming flowers and trees. Their menu is fresh and delicious!

And we thought the Periwinkle Park 7 1/2 mph sign was crazy!!!

Four days after we arrived home our daughter, Natalie, was over for a visit. We were talking and she asked if I had brought a pet home from FL. Climbing out of one of my outdoor FL plants was a lizard! She captured it and we put it outside. It has been a couple of weeks now and this morning I saw him sun bathing on our patio!
Duffey has always enjoyed drinking the juice when the pickles are gone and now they make a soda all for him!!!

We were on our way home from our winter in FL with plans to stop in Nashville and visit our son and his wife. Just outside Montgomery we were on a four lane highway with access for cars to cross. A lady driving a van pulled into the turn lane that would have had her cross our two lanes. She stopped and then zoomed across ahead of a semi and directly into our drivers side! We were moving about 30 mph so she scrapped down the side. When we got pulled over I walked back to see how she was doing and she would not roll down her window. Finally a boy, about 9 years old, stood up and told her to roll down the window. The boy spoke very broken English and said that they were both fine. She was on the phone and would not look at me. She spoke zero English. When the police arrived I was told she had an international license and very basic insurance.
We did stop for a night in Nashville where our son discovered she had taken a chunk out of our rear tire. We were lucky it was warm in Nashville because we could not get to our plug so we did not have heat. She had also bent the generator exhaust so we could not use the generator. The water pump was also broken so we had zero water.

The drive home from Nashville is usually a two day trip but we came all the way home in one day and Duffey was able to back into the driveway in the dark!
