Garage Sale

I somehow became the head of the neighborhood garage sale and then no one wanted to commit until the day before the sale. It was raining on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. The rain on Thursday caused others to not open their sale, I was the only one open. Customers were livid that they had driven all the way out to our neighborhood for garage sales and I was the only sale. Although they were upset they did purchase items. I was shocked that they came out in the rain. When I opened the garage door at 8:30 customers were waiting in the rain. We sold almost all items we put out.

To make the days even worse Duffey was sick. He hasn’t been ill in years but he was really feeling bad and I had to run up and check on him and then back to the sale and I seemed to always have customers. On Saturday Natalie didn’t work so she came and helped me and we were again quite busy.

Sunday we were closed but we did have two people return to pick up items. Finally at 4:30 we are finished!

On Monday I had to go to my parents and help them get things under control. That took most of the day. On Tuesday I went to lunch with the girls and took Duf to the DR. He should be feeling much better in a few more days. I spent the remainder of the day cleaning the garage so we can get our cars in because it is pouring rain! Cars are in, items my parents needed fixed are completed and I am watching TV after midnight. I must go to bed!!

Tomorrow I must take my dad to the Dr at noon.

I have taken two loads to the GoodWill and on the way to my parents I will take the last load. I filled 5 suitcases with the remaining items and will take them tomorrow. They get the suitcase and its contents! Garage Sale over and I have a wad of cash to spend!
