The Saw

Philip, Natalie's boyfriend, used Duf's table saw and the result was not good. He used all the precautions and safety measures but an accident happened and he cut his fingers. He is very lucky he was using precautions because the cuts are not as bad as they could be. He cut tendons and scraped bone on his left hand ring finger and middle finger. He had surgery and the Dr is confident with healing and therapy his hand will be fine.
Duf was watching golf with his eyes closed, ie napping,  so when Phil ran into the house and yelled for help he was awoken and shocked to see so much blood flying! He jumped out of his chair, got Phil a towel, and loaded him in the Jeep and rushed him to the hospital. Natalie and I were entering the neighborhood as they were speeding out and Duf yelled get Phil's wallet and come to the ER. I saw Phil's white face and big eyes and the towel and remembered he had asked Duf to use the saw and was just sick.
We pulled in the drive and I sent Natalie in to get the wallet. She came out with big eyes and said there is blood everywhere in the garage and the house! What happened? I told her I knew Phil was going to use the saw and she got a bit hysterical. We decided to think the best and get to the hospital.
Once we were at the hospital Natalie relaxed and watched with great interest everything they did to Phil. Blood does not bother her when she knows what is happening!
Funny part of story. Duf was so shocked when he woke up that he took Phil to the ER and was seated when the DR noticed he had not put on any shoes! Duf was in the ER barefoot! The Dr gave him some socks to wear and teased him about reacting so fast he forgot shoes!
I have given Duf lots of ER experience! I hope this is the thing that breaks my ER visit streak and that it is out of the family!!!
