We took a trip to Indiana to get together with old friends, get some work done on the RV and meet new people.
We stopped at Cummings in Elkhart for a bit of work. They had to order parts and it was a Friday and they are closed Saturday and Sunday. Lucky for us they have six very nice wooded camping areas with cement slabs and 30 amp service! Three were used for the weekend. They also have an easy access potable water area and dump area.
There was a delicious Italian Restaurant quite close for a delicious dinner.
We met a couple, Judy and Don, in this camping area and boy was I educated! Judy sold some sort of microfiber product and she explained to me why they are an amazing must have item in the RV. I would only need to purchase a dish rag and one towel. The theory was that this product has so much antibacterial property that Duf and I can share a bath
towel because it basically cleans itself between our showers. In fact I would rarely need to wash this towel because it cleans itself. This towel could also be rubbed on our clothes and it would sanitize them so that they did not need to be washed. She had not washed their towel in four weeks and I thought she was going to show it to me but she took it off the rack and shoved it in my face so I could smell how fresh this towel still smelled!
Next Judy was showing me the nice dish cloth that could wash and dry the dishes. As we talked the dog peed on the floor. Without a thought Judy put this dish cloth on the floor and soaked up the dog pee and informed me the antibacterial would kill this bacteria and the rag would not smell and could still be used to do dishes. As she stood up from soaking up the pee she shoved this towel into my face so I could again smell how fresh the rag still was!
I was stunned and frozen in place. Luckily Duf was by the door and observed this and walked in, took my arm, and said we had to go immediately so that we would not be late meeting friends. We returned to our RV at which time Duf just looked at me and we burst out laughing. I then washed my face and we left for dinner!
