It is already April 7, where does the time go? The weather is not what we had hoped it would be, it is snowing again!
Yesterday I had a dentist appointment and am pleased to report that all is well in the mouth! Duf is at the dentist now and I hope he has the same results.
Duf and I vowed that when we got home we would begin to work out three times a week and try to get in shape. We visited a few places and decided that the new YMCA would work best, it has everything we both want. They have a procedure for joining that involves three sessions with a personal trainer, registering for their ActivTrax program, and finally deciding if you want to take classes or just use the trainer. Sounds easy BUT they have cancelled twice because the trainer we are assigned has missed work. I hope it is because he is ill and not that he is going to quit and we are left to start over with a new trainer. We were about to walk out the door at 8:30 this morning when the call came that we had been rescheduled on Monday at 8:00 AM. We just want to be signed up so we are able to go when we want to go!!! I want to swim and the pool has been drained for a cleaning and will open on Monday. Hopefully I will be able to swim laps and maybe join a class in the nice clean pool.
I called Raleigh to inquire as to where the best place to take my Rocket bicycle for a tune up and was told Kegels was their recommendation. We drove 45 minutes too Kegels and told the tech the bicycle had a real squeal in the front tire and the brakes were sticking. Two days later I returned for the bike and as he wheeled it out the squeal was there loud and clear. I got blank looks from everyone and they all said they were not the one that did the tune up and the fellow that did had the day off. I asked the mechanic if he was able to fix it if I were to leave the bike another two days. The look on his face made me doubtful so I walked outside and called Raleigh. Raleigh did not appreciate that the bike was not fixed. When I returned the rep from Raleigh was on the phone with the tech and the tech looked shocked and became much more polite. The rep came to town and worked with the tech and I picked the bicycle up Monday. It has been to cold to ride, but I am assured that it is fixed.
That's what is happening here!
