House On The Rock and Taliesin
The four of us began our day at 8 AM to drive an hour to the House On The Rock for our three hour tour. This place is unexplainable it is so full of collections of every variety. This house is full of massive fireplaces and cubbies to sit around them. The furniture is covered with a long fur type of material and the ceilings are very low and covered with carpet to give the area a cozy feeling.
There is a four story carousel with strange animals that he made up and the top of each section is full of chandeliers, one of his favorite items. This carousel is moving around and around emitting loud music. Next to this carousel is an equally large Doll Carousel. It has dolls on each small carousel animal and is playing music like the large carousel.
One area has a huge whale with a ship in its mouth. There was a huge room of doll houses. There are rooms of cash registers, just rooms of everything. This place is something to see on a cool day because it is not air-conditioned! The restrooms here also had the needle disposal containers and most of them were almost full? Not sure what this is about?
Carole looking at decorations in the ladies room!
His merry-go-round hosted strange beasts!
A long hall to the end hanging out over the valley. Beautiful view.
