Carole and I had not noticed these needle disposal containers in bathrooms before but we have now been seeing these on counters. Some people must use needles for diabetes and other reasons and need a safe place for disposal.
We noticed them mostly in restrooms while we were in WI. We saw one at the Petosi Brewery and one at House on the Rock.

Stairs
I have noticed, since my stint in a wheelchair, that there are stairs everywhere! They are great for exercise if you are able to get up them, but so many people are not able to walk up these stairs. I am lucky that I am still able!

Golf Balls in October
Before our trip with Carole and Jerry I painted 12 golfballs orange, drew crazy faces on them, and wrote Happy Halloween on the back. At each stop Carole and I put the golf balls out for someone to find. I saw two boys find one and they got so excited that they ran back to their RV to show their parents. I do hope that along the way someone found each of the golf balls and enjoyed the experience.
I put out the last ball today so the trip must be about over! Always good to go home.
Jack Daniels
Oct.9
Quiz: Why are the trees and buildings for 4 miles around the Jack Daniels distillery black?
All Jack Daniels is distilled in Lynchburg, TN so we decided to go check it out. We signed up for The Flight of Jack Distillery Tour that started at 2:20 giving us enough time to walk downtown and have lunch. This informative tour is mostly outdoors and sometimes in very hot buildings, so I would not recommend it on a hot summer day. You can’t carry a purse or backpack on the tour and there are few lockers to put them in so I suggest you leave them in the car. Pictures are allowed outdoors but not in the buildings.
We learned and saw how Jack is made and how important the wooden barrels are to the process. At the tours conclusion we sampled 5 Jacks. The samples were small and he suggested just a drop on the tongue to let the taste come completely out. At the end he had us mix fire and honey and sample a drop of that. Delicious! Everyone received a nice glass with the Jack Daniels logo and a pencil.
When they finish with the barrels they are sold to other distilleries for various items. One item brewed in a used Jack barrel is hot sauce!
I got the most delicious smelling candle and fun mug!
The flush on the toilet was the most interesting I have used! Old Times brought to the modern washroom! Pull to flush and I think it makes people flush cause it is so different.
More pix soon! Must get them off phone!
Answer: They are tainted by a whiskey fungus that is common near distilleries. It also helps police find illegal stills! Our tour guide suggested if you want an illegal still to keep it close to Jack!
Opry
Oct. 8
We took the day off today and relaxed until around 3 and then we left for the Opry concert the kids gave us for our anniversary/birthday present. We saw an amazing tribute to Ray Charles with many stars singing. Before the concert we found a BBQ restaurant in the mall for dinner, Mission BBQ, and with perfect timing made the concert.
Lukas sounds just like his daddy Willie Nelson!
