When you can attend the most amazing Balloon event ever! The Albuquerque Balloon Fest is a must see for all ages. Each morning from 6 - 9 AM the balloons take off. They must do this early morning take off because of the wind conditions and then they fire up again at 6:30 PM for the night glow. They do not fly at night. After the night glow there is a lazar show and then to end the evening there are amazing Fire Works.
Carole and Jerry and Bob and Carol are here with us. They are friends we met in Florida and convinced to meet us here so we are glad it has turned out to be an amazing event!
Our friends, Harry and Sandi, asked us to be the crew for a balloon! There are so many balloons that they take off in waves and we were on the field ready to assist, but the wind began to blow before our wave and they did not take off.  We are now official balloon crew for Toucan! This balloon is on a calendar at Walmart. Our one and only chance to be on a crew!!!
There are balloons to depict everything imaginable. I have attached a few pictures; it was difficult to decide which ones to select.
We are with the Monaco group parked right at the end of the field, 5 football fields, and the balloons fly right over us. Our group serves us breakfast after the morning take off and we have gone to some great restaurants for lunch. This is a week of watching balloons and eating!
 "Luke I am your father!"
 Angry Birds
Those are not high wires but the ropes holding some balloons down until their wave.
