When we were in the middle of nothing, with a huge open blue sky above, we observed these jet tailings. Our guide informed us that at least once a week Russia sends bombers into our air space and the bases in Alaska are watching for them. They cross paths in the sky and then the Russia bombers will leave when they know we are on alert. Wow, the things we learn!
