We are driving four hours to Fort Worth to visit Mark and Bettye at their beautiful home; where they have more than enough room for us to park our RVs in their long driveway! We spent the remainder of the day talking and relaxing by their pool. We had a mouth watering rib dinner at Spring Creek BBQ.

On day two Mark and Bettye took us to the historic Fort Worth Stock Yards where they still run long horn steer down the road twice a day! The Amour factory was located at the end of the stock yards where in days gone by the cows left the train for the stock yards where they were sold and then made their way down the street to the Armor factory to become our dinners.  The buildings in this area have been preserved and are now stores and restaurants. The buying and selling of cows and pigs continues in this area but the animals are not present as in the past.

Nice bar stools! Fort Worth Stockyards are a fun place to visit for the day!

Remember 'Judge' Roy Bean from a previous post??? He had his own type of justice!
 Delicious food!!

Billy Bob’s Texas The Worlds Largest Honky Tonk is located in the Stock Yard area. This is a huge building that has bull riding, concerts, bars, pool hall, gift shop and so much more.
The sidewalks are lined with the stars of the Cowboy Walk of Fame. We stopped at Risckys for a snack and to wait for the running of the long horns. We then continued on to Pappasitos Cantina for a delicious dinner that was so filling we had to skip their scrumptious looking desserts. After dinner we returned to Mark and Bettye’s home for more conversations and laughs!
