We left Farmington, NM yesterday and spent the night in Albuquerque. Today we are in Roswell, NM and are wondering if we might be on the UFO trail???!!!

"Fully half of this town's population still is certain today that it saw space ships or some strange aircraft -- hundreds of them zooming through the skies yesterday. Estimates of the number ranged from & quotes several to more that 500. The objects appeared to play tag high in the air. At times they streaked away at almost unbelievable speeds."
On July 8, 1947, rancher WW Mack Brazel gathered debris from what was thought to be a UFO. The local Base Commander Col. Blanchard said the base was in possession of a flying saucer. The following day Gen. Ramey stated it was not a flying saucer but a weather balloon becoming the best documented UFO coverup.
